Drawing from Irvine’s history as aesthetic inspiration, abstract imagery depicts both the city’s urban development and farming origins.

Particular care was given to where each piece of art was placed in the hotel, correlating subject matter back to geolocation as a celebration of the history of the city and its culture. The milestones were salvaged from the historic flour mill across the street from the hotel, and the rockfall depicts Tempe’s local landscape.
